- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: Central nervous system tumors, complex spine surgery, acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, neuro-endovascular interventions, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular diseases, status epilepticus, central nervous system infections 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH stroke certification required but can submit with pending; copies required with submissions 4. License: VA license accepted pending but must have in-hand Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Days; every other weekend, every other holiday; patient ratio 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends; 24 orientation hours 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; no additional requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at UVA Health system; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of separation; facility does not allow travelers to return after 365 days worked 10. Travel/Local: This unit does not have mile radius rule; locals accepted 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12.
