Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required 2. Cases: Patients with 6 months or less to live, primarily geriatric 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred, home health hospice Epic experience a plus 7. Shifts/Call: 8-hour days 0800-1700, Friday-Sunday 8pm-8am call rotations, weekend on-call rotation 8. RTO: Auto approve 7 days or less (not on holidays), more requires facility approval, must work 2 out of 3 major holidays, no RTO during first week due to orientation 9. Returning Staff: Previous Novant Health/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying as traveler, facility rehire approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Candidates under 50 miles offered lower local rate but locals approved at travel rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable, non-acute roles 4-5 hours, must be completed pre-start and annually via online learning/Zoom/webinar/in-person 13. Travel Experience: Unit will accept first time travelers 14. Scrubs: Not provided, RNs wear all navy blue 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing. Two manager/supervisor references from past 12 months highly preferred.
