- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required 2. Cases: Patients with 6 months or less to live, primarily geriatric; home health/hospice and skilled nursing experience required 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 8-hour days 0800-1700, Friday-Sunday 8pm-8am call rotations, weekend on-call rotation 8. RTO: Can auto approve 7 days or less if not on holiday; more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week due to orientation; RTO after booking NOT allowed 9. Returning Staff: Previous Novant Health/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying as traveler; must disclose previous employment 10. Travel/Local: Locals approved at travel rate; candidates under 50 miles offered lower local rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; non-acute roles 4-5 hours; must be completed pre-start and annually via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13.
