Requirements
- Required certification: Histology - MLT
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3-5 years full time experience required; 2 years minimum; embedding and microtomy skills required 2. Cases: Routine and complex histologic procedures including processing, embedding, microtomy, routine and special stains, and immunohistochemistry 3. Certifications: BLS required; HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification by American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification required 4. License: South Carolina RN License prioritized if in hand; pending license considered with proof of application 5. Education: Bachelor's degree in histotechnology, biology or other related scientific discipline preferred; QIHC preferred 6. EMR: Epic 7. Shifts/Call: Days M-F 4a-12:30p with holiday rotation; occasional weekend requirement; no on-call required 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submission; RTO after submission not accepted; 7 days or less non-holiday RTO for auto offers 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent staff must be separated from MUSC system for 1 year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius rule; locals considered case-by-case at 10% less than posted bill rate; non-locals prioritized 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Average 4 hours, non-billable, included in NBO hours, completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Wine color 15.
