- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of recent ENDOSCOPY experience required 2. Cases: Routine and surveillance colonoscopy, EGD, EGD strictures with balloon or savory dilations, food obstruction EGD, GI Bleed, inpatient bronchoscopy r/o infection or ca 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; certifications must be in-hand at time of submission 4. License: NC or Compact license in hand required; Nursys required for RNs with submissions 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC required 7. Shifts/Call: Monday-Friday 7a-3:30p, 7:30a-4p, 8a-4:30p, or 8:30a-5p; Cover nights, weekends, and holidays rotating; Possibly 1 weekend and some weeknights 8. RTO: Must be included with submission, 5-7 days max; no pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Any previously permanent employment at Duke University Health System must be included in employment history; cannot have been permanent Duke employee within past 6 months 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at lower rate within 75 miles 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable during 20 hours of NBO; billable after orientation; completed during orientation or by COB Wednesday of first week; completed annually 13. Travel Experience: First-timer OK with strong Endoscopy/GI experience 14. Scrubs: Royal Blue 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - No Exemptions 16. Special Equipment: ERBE for APC, Covidien Barryx for Ablations, HLD equipment: Scope Buddy, Medivators Advantage Plus Critical: 1 supervisory reference within last year required. Lab work must be completed within 1 week of signing. Candidate must provide ETAs for compliance within 72 hours of signed contract.
