- Unit Notes:Nights ER/MedSurg RN for CAH - ASAP start 1) CAH or Community Hospital experience? 2) Comfortable mixing own medication, as there is no full time pharmacist on staff. High risk drips is a great to have but clinician NEEDS a basic experience of mixing antibiotics 3) Clinician comes in and has the ability to float between ED and MedSurg as needed (all on the same floor) *clinician needs to be able to answer all call lights ***Do not send Las Vegas candidates per facility request*** Please note: Housing is limited, traveling with others or pets may create challenges and/or housing further out of city. I do have a housing list available. Resource RN: float between ER RN that takes medsurg --- two nurses on at time. --- Someone who can take MedSurg patients. Answer call lights Would be SUPER helpful if clinician could maintain intubation and mix all drips. High risk drips, clinicians. Basic experience mixing antibiotics. Know how to titrate Levophed drips ***IN SUBMISSION EMAIL PLEASE NOTE: 1) Does traveler have CAH or Community Hospital experience 2) Comfortable mixing own medication, as there is no full time pharmacist on staff 3) Housing is limited, traveling with others or pets may create challenges and/or housing further out of city. Critical Access Hospital # Beds/Trauma Bays 6 - with 1 high acuity bay, called the "big ER" Do you have a separate Triage area? No Do you have a separate holding area in the ER? No Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? No EMR CPSI System 19/ T-Systems (until end of April) How many patients do you treat in the ER/day? Fluctuates widely. 2-25 per day. Nurse: Patient Ratios 1:4-5 (Acute RN can jump in and help) --- This number is reflective of ER and MedSurg. 3 ER rooms and two beds in them. 5 inpatient. 1:3-1:4 Required Certifications BLS, ACLS. LPNs must be IV certified. Experience or 'Must have' skills 1-2 years of experience; CAH or community hospital experience required. Pharmacist on Staff: No. Pharmacist reviews meds 2 times per month. RNs access Pharmacy room for all meds including mixing meds Charge Nurse? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge nurse take assignment and has few responsibilities in addition to patient care Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters? 1 - aide day/nights, 1 ward clerk during the day/ night. Is RT in the ER 24/7? No RTs. RT Equipment RNs are responsible for all respiratory treatments. Shifts & Scheduling 12 Hour Shifts; No special scheduling requests Weekend Requirements Every other weekend. Open to every weekend possibly. Holiday Requirements Rotation with core staff. Is there call or a standby requirement? NO Floating Requirements Acute if inpatients or swing patients are on the unit. No LTC Scrub Color/Dress Code Clean and professional scrubs. Any Color Unit/Department specific orientation Yes first shift is 2p-2a Additional Notes 2 nurses scheduled every shift Because we have very few In-patients Both nurses are working in Acute and ED No housing town. Have travelers here now that. Some local room for rent options available or in surrounding cities (ie. Carson City or Reno) Reach out to AM for local housing option 1 hour to Reno and 1 hour to Carson City/Lake Tahoe In order to be paid, must fill out a pink slip and have it signed by charge nurse or oncoming charge nurse so that I know they didn t have time for lunch.
