- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 18 months required, 2 years preferred; at least 2 years ER experience required 2. Cases: ER cases required 3. Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, PALS (must have at submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start); no pending certifications accepted 4. License: No license hits accepted; pending licenses not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience at a level 3 or 4 required; charting system experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Flexible 3x12s or 4x12s; weekends as needed; no on-call required; float within scope as needed 8. RTO: All RTO must be included at time of submission; RTO added later will likely not be approved 9. Returning Staff: Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from previous end date 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate 11. Background: Facility does not accept any license hits 12. Modules: 6-15 hours average, non-billable; completed pre-start and annually via SilkRoad; time-sensitive modules must be prioritized 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, central line care, IV vasopressors Critical: Smoke-free facility - must be nicotine free with negative 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen. EKG and Pharm test during orientation (2 attempts max, cancellation if failed). Two references from direct supervisor required. Compliance deadline Monday prior to start.
