- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 18 months required, 2 years preferred; at least 2 years ER experience required 2. Cases: Not specified 3. Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, PALS required at submittal; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start; no pending certifications accepted 4. License: No license hits accepted; pending licenses not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience at a level 3 or 4 required 7. Shifts/Call: No on-call required; weekend coverage as needed; guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12s, 40 hours for 8/10s 8. RTO: All RTO must be included at time of submission; RTO added later likely not approved 9. Returning Staff: Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from previous end date 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate 11. Background: Facility does not accept any license hits 12. Modules: 6-15 hours average, non-billable; completed pre-start and annually via SilkRoad; time-sensitive modules must be prioritized 13. Special Equipment: Arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, central line care, IV vasopressors Critical: Smoke-free facility - all travelers must be nicotine free with negative 10 panel plus nicotine drug screen. EKG and pharmacy tests required during orientation with 2 attempts maximum. Two references from direct supervisor required. COVID-19 vaccine required with exemptions only.
