- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3+ years in specialty required for posting; 1+ years required for submission 2. Cases: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, trauma, chest pain, abdominal pain, sepsis, SOB, psych 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC or ATCN required in-hand, NIH, NIHSS, PALS; travelers allowed to get certifications before starting 4. License: NY State License required (must have at least applied if still pending); submit with recent Nursys 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Weekend coverage required; patient ratios 1:4 but may flex to 1:5 or more during surge periods; subacute/supertrack ratio 1:5-1:6 8. RTO: Preferred 7 days or less; pre-approved time off: one 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff cannot return as traveler within a year 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile local radius; locals accepted at lower rate; after 3rd assignment can do 3 more at local rate 11.
