- Unit Notes:**CLINICAL WILL PRESCREEN, MANAGER WILL CONDUCT A 2ND INTERVIEW** need 2 sup refs from modality submitting to (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered. ***PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE, THE DYS EXAM THROUGH UNA IS REQUIRED ALONG WITH ACCEPTANCE. MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24-48 HRS. IT S PASS OR FAIL AND THEY GET 2 ATTEMPTS (TEST A SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FIRST, TEST B SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FOR THE RETAKE). A SCREENSHOT SHOWING THE NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS IS REQUIRED. **We can accept the Relias Dys exam within the last 12mo if the traveler has previously taken** If your traveler fails the 2nd attempt, they will be made DNU for CommonSpirit AZ and Sac Location "Dignity Health Sacramento System Office Rancho Cordova, CA 95670" Unit Transfer Center-Clinical (RN/LVN) **THIS POSITION HAS ZERO HANDS ON PT CARE*** HAVING YOUR CLINICIAN TAKE AN ONLINE TYPING TEST WOULD BE BENEFICIAL SO WE KNOW THEY HAVE THE TYPING SKILLS - PROVIDE THAT SCORE TO THE AM - THEY CAN TAKE A 1 MINUTE HARD TEST ONLINE, IT'S NOT A LENGTHY PROCESS # cases "12 cases per shift on average- can be working on 10-15 cases at a time Can be working with hospitals from all over" Required Certifications None- need their license RN, LVN Common duties/ responsibilities "Facilitate transfers (any patient type) from hospitals within Dignity and outside of Dignity. Will deal with cases after the intake process doing patient assessments vitals, clinical information (patient report). Will find accepting MDs and specialist doctors- have a list of hospitals and services provided and request bed at appropriate facility. **If traveler is an LVN they will do refer outs (if they can't find a place within Dignity they will refer out to other facilities) This is the LVNs #1 priority" Experience or 'Must have' skills "MUST have a minimum of 2 years of ICU, ED, or transfer center experience. MUST have acute care experience. Will take first time travelers. MUST have critical care assessment skills, good clinical judgement, be able to follow algorithms MUST be professional, have good customer service skills, be able to learn quickly, ability to multitask, be strong in computers- will be utilizing multiple computer applications (Cerner, TeleTracking, Tiger Connect-texting MDs/specialists, all Google apps including multiple chats from within and outside of the hospital) MUST have Cerner or EPIC experience " Will they be responsible for arranging transfers? Facilitate transfers- get the acceptance of the physician to take the patient Any area specific experience required? ICU, ED, or transfer center Bed Management system TeleTracking Do they manage bedding and staffing? Will have to request the bed from bed placement EMR Cerner, Tele tracking, all the google applications Manager/Supervisor available? Supervisors and leadership team Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) "Need to be available to be scheduled any day of the week- Weekend Requirements Every other weekends Holiday Requirements Must be able to work holidays if there is a need Floating None Scrub Color/Dress Code "Scrubs-any color as long as clean and professional Casual- Can wear: jeans- no rips, tears or holes, hoodies- if clean and no large writing" Unit/Department specific orientation 1 day of general hospital orientation and 3-5 days of orientation in the department- training may be done on any shift.
