- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required; must have full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in past year 2. Cases: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi; Non Trauma Emergency Department; Primary Stroke & STEMI Center; typical ED patient diagnosis, occasional OB patients 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required; CPI and MAB preferred 4. License: Kansas and Missouri or compact required at time of submission; pending license not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred; 3 hours of pre-start EMR modules required; RNs can choose EPIC test out option or EPIC module 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights 1900-0700; no on-call required; holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed; 8-10 weekend shifts per 6-week period 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days 9. Returning Staff: Tenure policy - 18 months with 3-month break in service required 10. Travel/Local: Locals not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from facility 11. Background: Drug screening required; if results come back diluted or positive and cannot be cleared by MRO, assignment canceled and 6-month waiting period required 12. Modules: 10-15 hours of compliance modules due Monday 1 week prior to start; pre-start modules non-billable; Infusion Pump and Glucometer training due Sunday prior to start date 13.
