- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of recent specialty experience required; must have full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in past year 2. Cases: Not specified 3. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, PALS required 4. License: Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact required at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; 3 hours pre-start EMR modules; RNs can choose Epic test out option or Epic module 7. Shifts/Call: Weekend required - every third weekend coverage and/or 8 weekend shifts in 6-week schedule period; floating required to all SLHS Metro EDs; holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed 8. RTO: 7 day maximum RTO 9. Returning Staff: Tenure policy - 18 months with 3-month break in service required 10. Travel/Local: Locals not accepted; 75-mile radius considered local 11. Background: If drug screen results come back diluted or positive and cannot be cleared by MRO, assignment canceled and 6-month waiting period required 12. Modules: 10-15 hours modules due Monday 1 week prior to start; infusion pump and glucometer training due Sunday prior to start date 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience required; first-timers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Navy 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16.
