Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of recent specialty experience required; must have a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year 2. Cases: Emergency Department cases including pediatrics, psychiatric, IV therapy/phlebotomy, respiratory, medications, neurological conditions, cardiac monitoring, orthopedics 3. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, PALS required 4. License: Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact required at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC required; 3 hours of pre-start EMR modules required 7. Shifts/Call: Every third weekend coverage and/or 8 weekend shifts in 6-week schedule period; at least 4 weekend shifts per contract; no on-call required 8. RTO: 7 day maximum RTO 9. Returning Staff: Tenure policy - 18 months with 3-month break in service required 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile radius rule; locals not accepted 11. Background: Drug screening required; diluted or positive results result in cancellation and 6-month wait to reapply 12. Modules: 10-15 hours of compliance modules due Monday 1 week prior to start; pre-start modules non-billable; Infusion Pump and Glucometer training must be completed by Sunday prior to start date 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required 14. Scrubs: Navy 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Must complete labs within 48-72 hours of signing. Previous charge experience required. Patient ratios 1:4. Two references required from past year.
