POSITION: Per Diem ER RN – Nights
SCHEDULING AND COMMITMENT

• Shift: 7p-7:30a
• Scheduling & Commitment: Clinicians must be fully committed to working a minimum of (4) shifts per month.
• Must be dedicated to getting into the lab and completing compliance asap
• Cancellation Policy: Three (3) last-minute shift cancellations, defined as cancellations within 24–48 hours of the scheduled shift will lead to facility review and may result in a final warning
• Charting: EPIC experience required
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Clinicians may work at only one RWJBH site and must be submitted exclusively to the site where they are fully committed to work; once submitted and approved, a site-specific requisition ID will be assigned, and location changes will not be permitted thereafter.
• (2) Clinical Leadership references from assignments within the last 2 years (Charge nurse not accepted).
SEPARATION RULES

• Prior RWJBH staff must be separated for a minimum of (6) months.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care ER experience
REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Active NJ or Compact license is required at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ITTC- De-escalation Training (Refer to submittal instructions)

• Respiratory: BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance; Care of Ventilated Patient; Chest tube insertion/management; Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs); Intubation
• IV Therapy / Medications: Blood Product Administration; Phlebotomy; Starting and maintaining IVs; Emergency Medications; IV vasopressors; Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
• Cardiac / Neuro: CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident); Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
DEPARTMENT / UNIT PROFILE

• Department/Unit Details: General Emergency Department combined Adult/Peds/Psych population serving Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics with an average daily census of 150 patients across 45 rooms
• Ratios: 1:6+ can be up to 8 depending on staffing, acuity/triage level
• Floating: Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity and staffing.

• 1st day computer training at home on Monday, 2nd day on unit @ 7a on Tuesday
