- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of ER experience required; must have 1 year of travel experience required; must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years and have at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass 2. Cases: Hematology, oncology, and sickle cell patients; sickle cell crisis, fever, abdominal pain, uncontrolled pain, anemia, nausea, vomiting, dehydration 3. Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale), PALS 4. License: Valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: EPIC experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Will be required to float between ICC and ED units as needed; patient ratio experience 3-4; 76 orientation hours 8. RTO: Required with submission, must be built into contract 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible for travel assignment once they have been away from facility for 6 months or more; current employees ineligible to be hired as traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate 11. Background: Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start; urgent Ohio fingerprinting process required immediately after contract signing 12.
