Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have either 1 year Level 1 trauma facility experience OR 2 years Level 2 trauma facility experience; need pediatric patient experience 2. Cases: Level I Trauma, Level II Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke, Chest Pain (STEMI) Center; patient age groups include Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required (can submit with TNCC pending but must have before start); copies required with submission 4. License: VA license (can submit with pending but must have in-hand Wednesday before start date); Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Nights, 36 or 48 hours, weekends required, every other holiday, block scheduling cannot be guaranteed, patient ratios 4/5 all shifts 8. RTO: Maximum 40 hours per 13-week contract; only one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at University of Virginia Health system; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of separation; facility does not allow return after 365 days on assignment 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not listed as having mile radius rule; floating required within scope of practice 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager of any background hits 12.
