Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have either 1 year Level 1 trauma facility experience or 2 years Level 2 trauma facility experience; need pediatric patient experience 2. Cases: Level I Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke, Chest Pain (STEMI) Center 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required; can submit with TNCC pending but must have before start; copies required with submissions 4. License: Can submit with VA license pending; must have license in-hand Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Mids; 36 or 48 hours; weekends required; scheduled days vary based on staffing needs; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed; every other holiday 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours max per 13-week contract; only one pre-approved time off; no additional RTO requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at University of Virginia Health system; must be separated for one year and approved by UVA leadership; cannot return after working 365 days regardless of separation period 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit does not have mile radius rule; locals accepted 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; excess time is billable; completed during orientation; recorded in Workday 13.
