- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; will review for 1.5 years; Level I Trauma preferred 2. Cases: Level 2 trauma required (Level 1 trauma strongly preferred); approximately 60%-80% of Emergency Department is admitted patients 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC required; must have TNCC BEFORE submission; NIH can pend until compliance doc due date; No RQI Certs accepted 4. License: NM license can pend at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hour shifts; no on-call required; patient ratios 1:5; weekend coverage as needed 8. RTO: Maximum one holiday bundle preferred; no RTO first 7 days or last day of contract; greater than 7 days needs approval (10 days for PCU) 9. Returning Staff: 6 month break required after 4 consecutive assignments or one year mark; permanent employees can return as travelers after 12 months out of system 10. Travel/Local: No locals within 100 miles; travel experience strongly preferred but may consider non-travelers with 2+ years Level 1 experience 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Billable up to 4 hours, non-billable beyond that; completed during orientation and annually via learning central 13. Travel Experience: Strongly preferred; ER requires previous travel experience 99% of the time; first-timers accepted with conditions 14. Scrubs: Black scrubs, not provided by hospital 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Bar code medication scanning; IV medication administration; arterial lines; central line care; ventilated patients Critical: COVID vaccination required with exemptions accepted.
