- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year EP Lab clinical experience required; must support at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years 2. Cases: Daily caseload average 18; Cardiac Electrophysiology study, Head-Up-Tilt test, Cardioversion, Internal Loop Recorder, Atrial flutter/fibrillation ablations, Supraventricular tachycardia ablations, Ventricular tachycardia ablations, Device implants (Watchman, Aveir, Pacemaker, Defibrillator), Device explants/lead extractions 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES/RCIS required; ARRT, Fluoro permit preferred 4. License: DC license in hand required for DC locations; compact license or MD license for MD locations 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner required; CardioLab preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Day or 4x10 Days, 0700-1930 or 0700-1730 with 2 days late case coverage per week; no on-call/weekend requirement 8. RTO: No RTO permitted during first two weeks; no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; must be included at submittal 9. Returning Staff: Previous MedStar employees must be separated minimum one year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius; locals accepted at lower rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Sitel modules must be completed within one week of signing; billable up to 4 hours, average 12 hours; completed pre-start and during orientation; must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms 13. Travel Experience: Unit accepts first-time travelers with required EP experience 14. Scrubs: Provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Required - Philips X-Ray machine/Siemens x-ray machine, GE Micropacer; Preferred - 3D mapping Biosense, 3D mapping Abbott/ESI, Siemens X-Ray machine, GE/Abott EP4, ViewMate U/Sound, Siemens U/Sound, GE U/Sound, Laser lead machine Critical: Two supervisory references required including one from most recent assignment. Labs and DS appointment must be completed within 48 hours of signing. EKG experience required for inpatient, outpatient, obtaining vitals, sinus node rhythms.
