- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; minimum 1 year experience required 2. Cases: EMU experience required; Adult Inpatient, Seizure studies 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: VA or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Mon-Thur 9p-7a; Patient ratios nights: 2; Patient ratios weekends: 4; 1 weekend a month required 8. RTO: Should be included at time of submission, approved by unit manager on WOC; no guaranteed time off; no time off granted during first week of assignment; Pre-approved time off: none 9. Returning Staff: Both travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same base rate; no radius rules for applicants 11. Background: Facility will review all background hits 12. Modules: All candidates assigned modules during orientation on VCU Learning Exchange; non-billable, average 6 hours factored in NBO; completed during orientation, must be finished by Friday of orientation week 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: VCU has a natural nail policy 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown; COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required 16. Special Equipment: Pediatric and Adult Epilepsy Monitoring Unit - 8 beds, Routine EEG Testing, Ambulatory EEG Testing, Long Term/Continuous EEG in ICU, Inpatient EEG, Outpatient EEG Critical: 2 references required. Candidates will float within scope if needed. Patient age groups include Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics.
