- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 18 months required, 2 years preferred 2. Cases: Fresh open heart surgery patients for day shift 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; no pending certifications accepted 4. License: No license hits accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Charting system experience required, any system acceptable 7. Shifts/Call: Day shift for cardiovascular intensive care 8. RTO: Must be presented at time of submission only; facility will not review RTO submitted after this time 9. Returning Staff: Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from previous end date 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate; first time travelers accepted 11. Background: Facility does not accept any license hits; negative 10 panel + nicotine drug screen required within 12 months of start 12. Modules: 6-15 hours average, completed pre-start and annually via SilkRoad; non-billable 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: IABP, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management Critical: Must be nicotine free (smoke-free facility). EKG and pharmacy tests required during orientation with 2 attempts maximum. Two references from direct supervisor/manager required. Compliance documents due Monday prior to start. Strict no-call policy.
