- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years Cardiac/CVICU ICU experience required 2. Cases: High acuity CCU requiring CVICU experience; acute heart failure, CHF exacerbation, fluid overload, post cardiac arrest, complete heart block, cardiogenic shock, pre-heart transplant, arrhythmias, ventricular tachycardia 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; BSN required; all RNs must obtain ACLS by compliance deadline 4. License: Valid state license required at submission; MO license or compact license required; compact license must match permanent residence state 5. Education: BSN required 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred; Epic is the charting system throughout BJC system 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend required; 1:2 patient ratio; can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week; no on-call required 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO first week; only up to 2 requests totaling 40 hours maximum during contract 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as traveler; standard travelers can stay 18 months then take 3-month break 10. Travel/Local: No local candidates within 75-mile radius accepted 11. Background: No medical marijuana cards accepted 12. Modules: Billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr; completed pre-start through WorkRamp; must be completed 2 Fridays prior to start date 13. Travel Experience: Yes, travel experience required 14. Scrubs: Navy Blue 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Intra-aortic balloon pumps, LVADs, Impella Critical: Must pass Relias EKG exam. Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing. Float within service line required. References preferred at submittal. Fit testing required.
