- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2+ years RN experience required; must be experienced in direct open heart admissions from OR, cardiac surgery skills, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, CRRT 2. Cases: Must have ACT (Activated Clotting Time) experience; direct fresh open-heart admissions from OR, pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, CRRT 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH required; BLS, ACLS, PALS must be via American Heart Association if required by unit; copies must be included in submittal packet 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license acceptable; any previous probationary actions considered case-by-case 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights, weekdays, weekends; may occasionally float to Medical ICU or Step Down Unit; blocked schedules only considered for weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon) 8. RTO: Should be included on application at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 2 years after last date worked permanent; current Vandalia Health System employees not eligible for travel contracts 10. Travel/Local: Must have permanent address greater than 100 miles from facility; facility will consider 75-100 miles case-by-case at same rate 11. Background: Any previous probationary actions on license considered case-by-case 12. Modules: 8 hours average, non-billable, completed prior to start, not included in 16 hours NBO, recorded on transcript 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required 14. Scrubs: None provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, central line care, CVVHD/CRRT, Impella, IABP, ventilator care Critical: Minimum 2 manager/charge references within past 2 years required.
