- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Cardiac (post cardiac procedures, A-fib flutter, stable AMIs), Respiratory (Optiflow, V-60s, no Ventilators), Diabetics (insulin drips), Cardiac drips (Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone, Tridil, renal dose Dopamine, Heparin); General critical care unit - medical surgical, trauma cases 3. Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred; NIHSS, ACLS, BLS required 4. License: Active AL or compact RN license required at time of submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Self-scheduling, every other weekend required; 1:2 patient ratio days/nights/weekends 8. RTO: 7 days max allowed for time off 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent staff ineligible for travel roles for 10 years; after 2 consecutive contracts, travelers must take 6-month break before returning 10. Travel/Local: Must live outside 90 miles radius; no locals accepted; travel experience required but candidates with extensive experience may be considered 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: 8+ hours non-billable modules not included in bill rate; 16 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience required, but candidates with extensive experience may be considered 14. Scrubs: Navy OR navy bottoms and white top 15. Special Equipment: Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Ventilator Management Critical: New travelers OK if they have stepdown or PCU experience.
