Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; minimum 1 year experience required; minimum 2 years in busy lab 2. Cases: 18-25 cases/day; procedures include LHC, RHC, biopsy, PCI, peripherals, structural heart 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required 4. License: VA or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: On call 1-2x/6wks; self scheduling 8. RTO: Should be included at submission; approved by unit manager on WOC; no guaranteed time off; no time off during first week of assignment 9. Returning Staff: Both travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before eligible to return as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same base rate; no radius rules for applicants; travel experience required 11. Background: Facility will review all background hits 12. Modules: All candidates assigned modules during orientation on VCU Learning Exchange; non-billable, average 6 hours factored in NBO; completed during orientation by Friday of orientation week 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required 14. Scrubs: Natural nail policy 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: GE XRay, GE MacLab, Impella, IABP, FFR, iFR, OCT, IVUS, vascular ultrasound Critical: RN must have specialized cardiac cath experience. Circulate required, monitoring and scrubbing preferred. AORN knowledge required. Candidates will float within scope if needed. 2 references required. Patient age groups: Adults, Geriatrics.
