Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 18 months RN experience required, 2 years preferred 2. Cases: STEMI experience required; proficiency with Balloon pump, Impella, Atherectomy devices, cardiac medication drips, and emergency medications 3. Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS required; no pending certifications accepted 4. License: No license hits accepted; pending licenses not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Charting system experience required; any system acceptable 7. Shifts/Call: On-call requirement evenings and weekends; guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12s, 40 hours for 8/10s 8. RTO: All RTO must be included at time of submission only; facility will not review RTO submitted after 9. Returning Staff: Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from previous end date 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate 11. Background: Must be nicotine free; negative 10 panel plus nicotine drug screen required within 12 months of start 12. Modules: 6-15 hours average, non-billable; completed pre-start and annually via SilkRoad; time-sensitive modules must be prioritized 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Balloon pump, Impella, Atherectomy devices, vascular closure systems, radiation and laser safety equipment Critical: EKG and Pharm test required during orientation with 2 attempts maximum; travelers cancelled if failed. Two references from direct supervisor required. Compliance deadline is Monday prior to start.
