Epic Travel Staffing is hiring an Interim - Pharmacy Operation Manager

Shift: Non-exempt, Days, 7a-3p, 8x5, 40 hrs per week, Mon-Fri

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

Active CA Pharmacist License
Successfully completed NAPLEX (Required)
5 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy environment OR completion of a PGY1 residency (Required)
Previous experience managing, developing, coordinating, and implementing pharmacy delivery and documentation systems (Preferred)
Experience or training in pharmacy information systems such as Meditech or Epic (Preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience managing projects and teams
PharmD from an ACPE-accredited institution (Required)
Completion of a PGY1 residency (Preferred)

Other Details:

Works under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy; ensures smooth operation of pharmaceutical care delivery across clinical, financial, administrative, and information systems operations
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls workflow; hires, trains, and supervises pharmacy staff; coordinates work schedules and monitors workload statistics
Acts as liaison with physicians and hospital personnel
Oversight of the Automated Dispensing Machine system in coordination with the Pharmacy Technology Coordinator
Maintains compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, USP 797, and Joint Commission (TJC) standards; maintains inventory records including controlled substances
Follows ASHP Minimum Standards for Pharmacies in Hospitals
Performs the duties of Director of Pharmacy in their absence and staff pharmacist duties as needed
Charting/systems: Meditech or Epic
