Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN - Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum
Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12x1, 12hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Active NJ RN License
- 2 years of experience
- BLS
- NRP
- Â AWHONN Beginner
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Teaching Hospital Experience preferred
Other Details:
- Â Ratios: 1:6
- Â Floating: Will float to Labor room, NBN, NICU stepdown. Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity, and staffing.
- COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Not Required
- Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Unknown

SCHEDULING AND COMMITMENT

• Shift: Shift Times: 7a-7:30p
• Must be dedicated to getting into the lab and completing compliance asap
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
========================================
• Clinicians may work at only one RWJBH site and must be submitted exclusively to the site where they are fully committed to work; once submitted and approved, a site-specific requisition ID will be assigned, and location changes will not be permitted thereafter.
• (2) Clinical Leadership references from assignments within the last 2 years (Charge nurse not accepted).
• Submission review turnaround time could take 1-2 weeks.
SEPARATION RULES

• Prior RWJBH staff must be separated for a minimum of one (1) year.

REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Active NJ or Compact license is required at time of submission
• Required Certifications: BLS; NRP; AWHONN Beginner

• Newborn: Newborn: Assessment; Thermoregulation; Phototherapy; Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS); Infant Identification; Metabolic Screen; Cord Care; Car Seat Education/Testing; CCHD Screening; Fetal Monitoring; Circumcision Assist, Post-Op Care & Parent Teaching
• Postpartum: Vaginal & Cesarean Deliveries; Multiple Births; Postpartum Hemorrhage; Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension; Couplet Care; Fundus/Lochia/Perineal Care; Episiotomy/Incision Care; Foley Insertion; Breastfeeding & Breast Pump Education; Circumcision Assist, Post-Op Care & Parent Teaching
• IV therapy; Starting/maintaining IVs; Administration of blood/blood products; Antihypertensives; Phlebotomy; Isolation Precautions/PPE; Vaccine Administration

• Unit Details: The Mother/Baby unit has both antepartum and postpartum patients.
• Charting: EPIC experience required
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Floating: Will float to Labor room, NBN, NICU stepdown. Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity, and staffing.

• Parking: Free parking is available in any unrestricted space. Security is located directly next to the entrance (not in the garage), and the garage is monitored by security via camera.
ORIENTATION / MODULE DETAILS

• 1st day computer training at home on Monday, 2nd day on unit @ 7a on Tuesday
