The Resource Float Pool is a diversely skilled team that floats throughout our two campuses, BUMC-Tucson (600+ bed Level I Trauma) and BUMC-South (200+ bed Level III Trauma), to provide support where necessary. • BUMC-Tucson Campus has approximately 16 Adult Health units with adult health patients that range from Observation to IMC. PCU travelers may be floated to any of these units during their contract, this includes expanded spaces in our EDs or the PACU spaces to take Adult Health patients with inpatient orders waiting on unit beds. • BUMC-South Campus is approximately a 10-minute drive from BUMC-Tucson. There are 4-5 AH units from Observation to PCU depending on the season.
