Travel Nurse (RN) OR (Operating Room) Des Moines, IA

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - OR

Shift: Days / 6:30a start time, 10x4, 40 hrs/week M-F with rotating day off
Length: 13 weeks

Holiday rotation; Call / Weekends: one overnight per week and three weekends

Requirements:

IA/Compact license
2 Years of of current operating room experience required (hospital/medical center experience will be prioritized)
Circulating / operating room experience
Experience in the following cases: General, davinci Robotics, Pediatrics and Trauma
Trauma level II experience
EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years
AHA BLS
Trauma Level I experience highly preferred
Scrub experience preferred
Additional experience in the following cases: (Neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, Ear, nose, throat, Vascular) preferred

Other Details:

EMR: EPIC
No 1st time travelers, must have completed a travel assignment within previous 9 mos.
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Bed Size: 16
Scrubs: provided
Avg. caseload – Average 35-50 cases per day. Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes
Special equipment – 3 Davinci robots. Use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma. We don’t do many ortho joints
How many suites – 16 OR’s. Run from 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas
Service lines - Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures
Local Radius rule: 50 miles
