Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Telemetry 7HVU 36's
Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x3, 36hrs per week
Length: 13 or 26 weeks
Weekend Requirement: Yes — 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period (Days: Sat/Sun; Nights: Fri night and Sat night)
Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving W/Th/F, Christmas 24/25/26, New Year's 31/1/2)
Requirements:
- NE License
- Minimum 2 years' experience
- Prior experience in a large, urban hospital (2 years)
- BLS
- ACLS
- EPIC charting experience required
- NIH preferred
- CPI preferred
Other Details:
- Drips required on all floors
- Must be prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs
- Float Requirement: Yes — travelers float first/frequently; may float within scope to Bellevue campus and units including 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU
- Local Accepted: No — candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility
- 1st Time Traveler: NOT accepted, unless traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
- Unit & Ratio: 7HVU — 49-bed Heart & Vascular Unit (specialty med/surg, cardiovascular patients incl. stable heart/lung transplants and LVADs); Ratios: 1:5 days / 1:6 nights (occasionally 1:7 nights)

Heart & Vascular Unit - 7HVU is a 49-bed unit. It is considered a specialty medical/surgical unit that is fast paced and will provide growth in professional knowledge and expertise in the care delivery of our cardiovascular patients. The staff will care for specialty patients, such as stable heart and lung transplants, and Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs). The Cardiac Vascular Unit is a sister unit to the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit.
Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).
BLS, ACLS required
NIH, CPI Preferred
2 years of prior experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)
Drips are required on all floors
EPIC charting experience required
First timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)
Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating Units may include, but are not limited to 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU.
In addition to CNAs, care teams include care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics. LPNs are assigned on some, but not all, floors.
100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY
Weekends: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in an 4-week period. Days: Saturday and Sunday. Nights: Friday night and Saturday night.
RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion.
***Holiday Requirement: Travelers must work 2/3 major holidays - winter holidays are below:
Thanksgiving: W/Th/F

New Years: 31/1/2
Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)
Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.
Scrubs: MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on how to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs will be shared once traveler is confirmed. Facility also sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store.
