Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN - MS/Telemetry
Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x1, 12hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Active CA RN License
- Minimum 2+ years of Recent Tele experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- Charting system: Epic (experience not required)

- Must live within 50 mile radius
- Covid Vaccination and Booster Required (No Medical or Religious Exemptions accepted)
- Patient Diagnoses: uncontrolled diabetes, Pancreatitis, ETOH withdrawal, Afib
Description:
MS/Tele RNs are needed for per diem
PLEASE NOTE: For all UC Irvine Orientations we are provided a set number of seats. To ensure all seats are filled we over book seats to account for any drop-offs. . Seats will be allocated based on compliance progress. If there are more compliant PDP than orientation seats, the first to complete compliance will secure their seat.
Candidates with more than 2 pipelines will be redirected – all candidates submitted will need to consider UCI as their primary per diem option.
All clinicians will be required to complete a number of docusign documents within 72 hours of pipeline approval. Please ensure you clinician is aware and ready to complete following 1st call with their assigned CS, failure to complete these will lead to cancellation.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of RECENT Tele experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
-Advanced Tele exam
- License requirements: Active CA RN License
- References: 2 references who have supervised RN from a work assignment within the last year (Department Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager)
- Floating Required: Must be comfortable floating to Med Surg if needed
- 5 leads EKG experience required
- PCA Pumps
- Interpretation/Management of dysrhythmias
- Chest tubes, central lines, HFNC, Phlebotomy
- Must have Central and Port IV line experience
- Candidates must be able to articulate lethal rhythms, familiarity of SVT on EKG rhythm, and Heart Failure Core Measures
- Covid Vaccination and Booster Required (No Medical or Religious Exemptions accepted)
- Must live within 50 mile radius
Orientation Details
- In-person Orientation: 8/3 August 3rd 9am - 10am
Clinicians will complete an Epic Test Out remotely along with required modules if Epic test out is failed.
· Clinicians will complete 12-14 hours of pre-start modules

Medical-Surgical Pt requires Cardiac Monitoring - Tele
Tele monitors
Special Procedures/Unit Details:
No titration drip. Policies in place
No EKGs - in MS areas
comfort care - titration meds only (IV pump library)
Central line and port skills required
Should have a good understanding of patient safety core measures
Needs to be proficient with ACLS protocols and arrhythmia management.
Palliative and COVID patients.
bedside procedures, wound vac, chest tube, BiPAP, cPaP, high flow, drains, restraint etc
