Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel - Medical Lab Tech II

Shift: Days, 8a-4:30p, 8x5, 40hrs per week, Mon-Fri

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

ASCP or NCA registered
1 year experience
A.S. in Medical Laboratory Technology, or Associate's degree with prerequisite coursework and clinical training (or alternate route per ASCP/NCA)
Capable of operating laboratory instrumentation
Patient phlebotomy

Other Details:

Lab / Oncology department
Performs laboratory analyses and quality testing independently under minimal supervision; verifies specimen integrity, sets priorities, evaluates and interprets data
Operates lab instruments, performs QC, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
Uses Cerner/STAR for ordering, receiving, canceling tests and reviewing/verifying results; follows up on pending lists
Assists with policy/procedure manual upkeep and CAP inspections
This position does not do weekends, holidays, or off shifts (evening/nights)
