Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN - ER
Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x1, 12hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Active NJ or Compact license
- Minimum of 1.5 years of ER acute care experience
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; ITTC- De-escalation Training
Other Details:
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Floating: Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity and staffing. May care for holding patients and float to peds ED (not on a consistent basis).
- Ratios: 1:5+
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Scheduling & Commitment: Clinicians must be fully committed to working a minimum of (4) shifts per month.
• Must be dedicated to getting into the lab and completing compliance asap
• Cancellation Policy: Three (3) last-minute shift cancellations, defined as cancellations within 24–48 hours of the scheduled shift will lead to facility review and may result in a final warning
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Clinicians may work at only one RWJBH site and must be submitted exclusively to the site where they are fully committed to work; once submitted and approved, a site-specific requisition ID will be assigned, and location changes will not be permitted thereafter.
• (2) Clinical Leadership references from assignments within the last 2 years (Charge nurse not accepted).
SEPARATION RULES

• Prior RWJBH staff must be separated for a minimum of 6 months.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum of 1.5 years of ER acute care experience
REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Active NJ or Compact license is required at time of submission
• Required Certifications: Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; ITTC- De-escalation Training (Refer to submittal instructions)
SUMMARY OF REQUIRED SKILLS

• Respiratory- BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance; Care of Ventilated Patient; Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
• Central line care/management; Continuous IV sedation; IV vasopressors
• Interpretation & Management of dysrhythmias; Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure; Isolation Precautions/PPE; Triage
