Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN - ICU/CCU
Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12x1, 12hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Active NJ or Compact license
- 1.5 year(s) of acute care experience
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Stroke CEUs
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
Other Details:
- First time travelers require 2 years of strong ICU experience
- Floating: Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity and staffing. Will float to all IMC/ICU units within skillset
- Unit Details: Coronary Care Unit, Adolescents, Adults
- Ratios: 1:2 patient ratios; 1:4 (if floated to IMC)
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Shift: Days; 7:00am-7:30pm
• Scheduling & Commitment: Clinicians must be fully committed to working a minimum of (4) shifts per month. Must be dedicated to getting into the lab and completing compliance asap
• Cancellation Policy: Three (3) last-minute shift cancellations, defined as cancellations within 24–48 hours of the scheduled shift will lead to facility review and may result in a final warning
• Charting: EPIC experience required
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• MUST BE ABLE TO START ON 6/8/26 or 6/15/26
• Clinicians may work at only one RWJBH site and must be submitted exclusively to the site where they are fully committed to work; once submitted and approved, a site-specific requisition ID will be assigned, and location changes will not be permitted thereafter.
• (2) Clinical Leadership references from assignments within the last 2 years (Charge nurse not accepted).

• Prior RWJBH staff must be separated for a minimum of (6) months.

SUMMARY OF REQUIRED SKILLS

• Cardiac Monitoring & Hemodynamics: FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, transvenous pacers, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Cardiac ICU: Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, pre/post cath, pre/post OHS (no fresh hearts), MI care, Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR)
• Renal / IV Therapy: Chronic/Acute Renal failure, CVVHD/CRRT, Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, IV insulin protocols
• Respiratory / Vents: Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, vents and trachs
• Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Level 1 Rapid Infuser, wound vacs; Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PP
