Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN- ICU/CCU
Shift: Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12x1, 12hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- NJ License
- 1.5 year(s) of acute care experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Previous Charge Experience preferred
Other Details:
- Ratios: Patient Ratios: 1:2 in MICU, up to 1:4 if floated to IMC
- Unit Details: Medical Intensive Care Unit; Adults, Geriatrics
- Floating: Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity and staffing. (Will float to other ICU units, MS/Tele units and IMC units if needed)

POSITION: Per Diem CCU RN - Days
SCHEDULING AND COMMITMENT

• Shift: 7p-7:30a
• Scheduling & Commitment: Clinicians must be fully committed to working a minimum of (4) shifts per month. Must be dedicated to getting into the lab and completing compliance asap
• Cancellation Policy: Three (3) last-minute shift cancellations, defined as cancellations within 24–48 hours of the scheduled shift will lead to facility review and may result in a final warning
• Charting: EPIC experience required

• Prior RWJBH staff must be separated for a minimum of (6) months.

REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Active NJ or Compact license is required at time of submission
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
SUMMARY OF REQUIRED SKILLS
============================
• Vascular / Renal: Accessing/Managing Ports; Arterial line management; Blood Product Administration; Central line/PICC care and management; Starting and maintaining IVs; CVVH; Chronic/Acute Renal failure; Kidney transplant patients; Level 1 Rapid Infuser
• Respiratory / Thoracic: Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal; BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance; Care of Ventilated Patient; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs); Suctioning (ETT, NT); Ventilator Management
• Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade; Continuous IV sedation and Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring; Emergency Medications; IV insulin protocols; Titrate Cardiac/Vasoactive drips; FloTrac; Swan Ganz monitoring; Target Temperature Management-Arctic Sun or Zoll; Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Neuro / Cardiac Monitoring: CVA/Acute Stroke management; External ventricular drain (EVD); ICP monitoring; Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias; Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
• Infection Prevention; Isolation Precautions/PPE; Wound vacs; sepsis, MFM, Shock. Recovery of existing ICU patients that require non-extensive surgeries

• Floating: Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity and staffing. Will float to all IMC/ICU units within skillset
