Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN - PCU - VI
Shift: Nights/ 7p-7:30a, 12x1, 12hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Active NJ or Compact license
- Will consider 1.5 years' Experience
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Prefer 2 years; PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown; Telemetry
Other Details:
- Floating: Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity and staffing.
- Ratios: 1:4 for stepdown; 1:5 for MS/Tele; ALL units are mixed acuity and ratios will reflect level of care
- Unit Details: Adults, Geriatrics; Acute care patients requiring MS/Telemetry, or IMC level of care.
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
POSITION: Per Diem PCU RN - Nights
SCHEDULING AND COMMITMENT
=============================
• Shift: 7p-7:30a
• Scheduling & Commitment: Clinicians must be fully committed to working a minimum of (4) shifts per month. Must be dedicated to getting into the lab and completing compliance asap
• Cancellation Policy: Three (3) last-minute shift cancellations, defined as cancellations within 24–48 hours of the scheduled shift will lead to facility review and may result in a final warning
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• MUST BE ABLE TO START ON 6/8/26 or 6/15/26
• Clinicians may work at only one RWJBH site and must be submitted exclusively to the site where they are fully committed to work; once submitted and approved, a site-specific requisition ID will be assigned, and location changes will not be permitted thereafter.
• (2) Clinical Leadership references from assignments within the last 2 years (Charge nurse not accepted).
SEPARATION RULES

• Prior RWJBH staff must be separated for a minimum of (6) months.

• Accessing/Managing Ports; Blood Product Administration; Central line care/management; Peripheral Line Care/Management; PICC line management; Starting and maintaining IVs
• Respiratory: BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance; Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs); Nasal Cannula; Non-invasive airway management; Oxygen administration; Oxygen tanks; Tracheostomy care/management
• Cardiac: Heparin Protocols; Manage Cardiac drips- no titration; Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration; PCA; Interpretation of dysrhythmias; Management of dysrhythmias; Telemetry - on the unit monitoring; Use of Rapid Response/Code teams; Post MI; Pre/Post Cardiac Cath; Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery
• CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident); feeding tube care and management; wound care/vacs; NIHSS assessments as ordered; IV insulin protocols; Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management; Renal failure; Isolation Precautions/PPE
