Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN - Labor & Delivery
Shift: Variable D/N, 7a-7:30p/7p-7:30a, 12x1, 12hrs/week
Length: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
- DC license
- 2 years of L&D experience – will not consider anything less
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, C-EFM required / AWHOLL Intermediate
- BSN preferred

Requirements:

Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, C-EFM required / AWHOLL Intermediate, BSN preferred
Floating required to M/B unit
2 clinical references reflecting ICU experience, at least 1 leadership reference from assignments within the last year
Separation Period: 1 Year
Preferred Skills:
Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
Sterile vaginal exam
Triage of obstetrical patients
Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
Administration of blood & blood products
Drawing Venous Blood
Insulin drips
Magnesium Sulfate therapy
Pitocin (oxytocin)
Hemorrhage/shock
Required Skills:
Starting and maintaining IVs
Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring
Assist with vaginal delivery
Epidural Anesthesia
Pain assessment & management
Isolation Precautions/PPE
Shift Details:
• 12 hours shifts
o 0700-1930
o 1900-0730
Orientation Details:
Orientation: 4 hr class, 8 hr modules,12 hr clinical shift- Day 3 independent

Charting System: Cerner MedConnect
Medication System: Pyxis
Scrub Color: Scrubs Provided
Age Group: Neonates, Adults
Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
