Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Renal Dialysis

Shift: Days / 6:30a-7p, 12x3, 36 hrs/week. Every third weekend
Length: 13 Weeks

On-Call Requirement: Yes 1–2 nights per week 

Requirements:

  • CO license
  • 2 Years Experience
  • Education: Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • BLS
  • Pediatric experience preferred

Other Details:

  • Responsible for the oversight and delivery of direct patient care in alignment with established policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations
  • Provides direct patient care including Hemodialysis (HD) and Acute Dialysis
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Transplant services and other therapies as required
  • Implements prescribed treatments including Sodium (Na) modeling and Ultrafiltration modeling when appropriate, ensuring stable therapy
  • Assesses patient responses to treatment, communicates changes to Nephrology Providers, and intervenes appropriately
  • Actively participates in pre-evaluation, initiation, monitoring, termination, access care, and post-evaluation according to established procedures
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide culturally competent, age-appropriate care
  • Evaluates and adjusts care as needed; accountable for resolving barriers with providers, patients, families, and hospital personnel in a timely manner
  • Oversees and maintains accurate patient records (hardcopy and electronic)
  • Collaborates with patients, families, providers, and multidisciplinary teams to support shared decision-making and care planning
  • Assesses patients’ and families’ Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) and collaborates with social work and family navigators as needed
  • Provides education and coaching to improve health literacy and support patient self-management
  • Facilitates coordination of access to medical and specialty providers, medications, procedures, appointments, and referrals
  • Supports the learning environment through precepting, orienting, and mentoring team members
  • Participates in on-call responsibilities for Acute Dialysis, including nights and weekends as scheduled
  • Float: Client reserves the right to float or reassign Personnel to other areas of practice within their clinical competence
  • Medical and religious exemption requests from the seasonal influenza vaccination are allowed
