Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med Surg/Tele

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36hrs per week, every other weekend and one major holiday required
Length: 13 weeks

Requirements: 

• VA License
• 1 year of RN experience
• Experience in MS/Tele required
• Proficient with lab draws and peripheral IV starts required
• BLS, NIHSS
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
• Training EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training preferred
• Critical Care Course preferred
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
• PCCN Progressive Care Certified Nurse preferred
• (NIH) Stroke Certification preferred
• Education Bachelor of Science Nursing preferred

Other Details:

• Floating Requirement: Traveler may float to Med/Surg and Ortho units
• NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (must reside outside 50-mile radius)
• MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library)
• Unit: 29-Bed Medical/Telemetry 
• Med/Surg/Telemetry, adult; teaching unit with students present
• Skills: Nurses draw own labs and start IVs
• Equipment: Alaris Pumps, Hercules Beds
• Support Staff: 2 PCTs when at full census
• Mixture of seasoned staff and new grads; charge nurses present
• Scrubs: Navy blue, white, or any combination of the two colors
• Ratio*: 1:5-6
