Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN- PICU

Shift: Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12x1, 12hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • NJ License
  • 1.5+ Years of relevant experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS
  • Cardiothoracic surgery; A-line experience preferred
  • A-line experience preferred

  • Ratios: Days: 1:3; Nights: 1:3; Weekends: 1:3

POSITION: Per Diem RN- PICU
SCHEDULING AND COMMITMENT
• Shift: 7p-7:30a
SEPARATION RULES
• Prior RWJBH staff must be separated for a minimum of one (1) year.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• 1.5 years of acute care experience

REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Active NJ or Compact license is required at time of submission
• Required Certifications: ACLS; BLS; PALS

SUMMARY OF REQUIRED SKILLS
• General Critical Care: Ventilator Management; CVVH; Vaccine Administration
• Cardiac: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; Medtronic pacemakers; standard PICU equipment
• Cardiothoracic Patient Population: Care of CT patients with ASD (arterial septal defect), VSD (ventricular septal defect), AV Canal Defect, Valve replacements, Glenn and Fontan procedures, TOF (Tetralogy of Fallot), s/p cardiac cath and ablations
• *Preferred Experience*: Cardiothoracic surgery; A-line experience

UNIT DETAILS
• Ratios: Days: 1:3; Nights: 1:3; Weekends: 1:3
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Infants, Pediatrics; Patient Population: PICU, Pediatric Stepdown, and pediatric patients, including intermediate care and med/surg mix
• Charting: EPIC experience required
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Floating: Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity, and staffing. Will float to ALL PICU/NICU/Peds/PHOC units as needed

Parking:
• First day: May park in any surrounding garage; parking tickets will be validated.
• During assignment: $20 every 3 months. Parking assigned by security based on shift and availability (Pink deck, employee deck, or self-park). Garage clearance is 7 feet.
