Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN Allied- Sterile Processing Tech
Shift: Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12x1, 12hrs per week
Length:13. weeks
Requirements:
- 2 years of SPT experience required
- BLS
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Sterile Processing Distribution certificates from IAHCSMM or CBSPD
- Associate’s degree in healthcare related field preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred

Sterile Processing Techs are needed
Requirements:
2 years of SPT experience required
High school diploma or equivalent GED
Certifications : Sterile Processing Distribution certificates from IAHCSMM or CBSPD
2 clinical references, at least 1 leadership reference from assignments within the last year
***Important***
This is a small care site with no instrument tracking system. Candidates must be comfortable tracking through a paper system.
Preferred:
Associate’s degree in healthcare related field
Healthcare experience
Required Skills/Duties:
Decontaminating, cleaning, and sterilizing general and specialty surgical instruments, power equipment and endoscopes
Preparing and packaging instrumentation, quality control testing and monitoring of sterilization equipment
Performing case pull functions
Building and dispatching case carts for surgical/clinical procedures
Maintaining records and preparation of surgical cases
Managing Inventory
Participating in education services and other assigned tasks
Working knowledge of AAMI and AORN standards
Shift Times/Schedule:
12-hour shifts
1900-0730
Orientation:
8 hours of virtual orientation and 1 day (8 hours) of onsite orientation
Monday (non negotiable) : Attend 8am skills session with OhioHealth Education, obtain a badge, then will be required to work on modules remotely
Day 2: Conduct unit/department orientation with traveler/PD worker (12 hours min)

Scrubs : Scrubs provided on site
366-day separation period for previous perm employees
Medical/religious exemptions allowed. COVID preferred but not required
1st time travelers accepted
1. Confirm they are available and able to commit to 4 shifts a month
2. Confirm they are not actively looking for other PD or Travel jobs that would prevent them from picking up their 4 shifts a month
3. Confirm they are committed to making the compliance process a priority meeting all deadlines to be cleared by start date.

Shifts Access will not be provided until candidate is cleared by client post orientation
