Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Tele/Inpatient Surgical Unit 4C
Shift: Variable D/N / 12x3, 36hrs per week
Length: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
- NH License
- Must have a minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience
- Travelers need to have experience on a fast pace medical surgical unit preferably with Level I Trauma center experience but serval years at a Level II Trauma center is acceptable
- Chest tubes, Tubes, Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone, Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients, Trachs/Laryngectomies, Complex wounds, Central Lines- care and maintenance and blood draws
- Telemetry experience
- BLS
Other Details:
- RN Patient ratios: days: 1:4 nights 1:5
- 36 bed adult surgical unit that cares primarily for trauma patients and acute care surgical patients
- This unit does have 2 negative pressure rooms that can serve our COVID population
- This is a very busy unit where rehabilitating and supporting our patients needs is our highest priority
- The most common diagnosis on the unit; Traumas including: spinal cord injuries(new quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries occurring as a result of a trauma
- Acute Care Surgical diagnosis: hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, cholecystectomy
