Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12×3, 36hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

On Call/Call Back Requirements: Picking up call permitted, not required. Response time (if picking up call): 1 hour

Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every 2-3 weekends, F/Sa/Sn. Every other holiday

Requirements:
  • WI license
  • Minimum 2 years with cardiac experience
  • Skills with Swans, IABP’s and post op hearts required
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • CCRN preferred, not required
  • Epic charting experience preferred
Other details:
  • Float required
  • Unit Information:   12 bed CICU – post op hearts, AMI, Cardiogenic shock, Induced Hypothermia, Basic CICU. Patient Ratio: 2:1 CRRT, 1:1 Impella
  • Primary case/Procedure Type: post-op hearts, AMI, Cardiogenic shock; frequent cardioversions, lines placed and Dc’d in unit
  • Scrub Colors: any color scrubs

CVICU

Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovery from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs and CABC. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and family regarding home-care and wellness. Overall, the CVICU nurse treats some of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital, and must do so safely and compassionately.
