Requirements
- Required certification: Physical Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Burn patients with 0-100% TBSA burns; patients needing physical therapy with limiting issues such as pain, surgical dressings; mobility and positioning to prevent contractures and scarring 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: Valid LA License or Compact License required at time of submission; cannot accept pending 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting required 7. Shifts/Call: Must work Saturday and Sunday in BURN unit, then pick up 3 other shifts Monday-Friday; every weekend and 1 day during the week will vary 8. RTO: Not specified 9. Returning Staff: Perm staff must leave the health system for 1 year before eligible to travel 10. Travel/Local: Travelers can only submit to 1 campus at a time 11. Background: Any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission, along with personal statement 12. Modules: Non-billable; Allied can range from 2-4 hours; completed pre-start and vary by specialty; recorded by facility education department 13. Travel Experience: Accepts 1st time travelers 14. Scrubs: Scrubs provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - No Exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Hoyer lift; private gym within the burn center with therapy equipment Critical: Hardtop deadline is Wednesday prior to Monday start date. Must be able to float inpatient. At least two recent manager references required. Patient ratios: 8 patients days and weekends.
