Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – MS/Tele – Solid Organ Transplant Unit (SOTU)
Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36hrs per week
Length: 13 or 26 weeks
Requirements:
- NE License
- 2 years’ experience
- BLS, ACLS
- EPIC charting experience required
- 2 years of prior Telemetry experience preferred (must have 2 years experience in large, urban hospital)
- NIH, CPI preferred
Other Details:
- First timers not accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)
- Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights
- Will float within scope to meet facility needs
- 100% Nicotine free facility
- Locals Accepted: No (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)

Medical Surgical/Solid Organ Transplant Unit – SOTU is a 36-bed unit providing medical surgical/telemetry and progressive care to adult pre and post liver, kidney, pancreas, intestinal transplant patients and intestinal rehabilitation patients. Adolescent patients starting at the age of 15 are on the unit but are cared for by core staff only.
Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).
Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN
2 years of prior Telemetry experience pref (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)
Drips are required on all floors
First timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)
BLS, ACLS required
NIH, CPI preferred
EPIC charting experience required
Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus)
100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY
Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)
Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.
Weekend Requirement: Two weekends in a four-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift).
Scrubs: MANDATORY – RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on how to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs will be shared once traveler is confirmed. Facility also sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store.
Facility requires all contracts to end on a SUNDAY. Work week is Monday-Sunday.
100% Nicotine Free Facility – Nicotine is not included in the drug screen; however, if facility suspects any nicotine use, traveler contract is at risk for immediate termination.
Nebraska RN License takes 4-6 weeks to obtain; therefore, if Nebraska RN license is not IN HAND at time of submission, traveler will have a start date six weeks out.
