Travel Nurse (RN) – Tele (Telemetry) – Bangor, Maine – 915183

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – MS/Tele – M3 48’s

Shift: Days, 7a-7p, 12×4, 48hrs per week

Length: 26 weeks

Weekend rotation: every other; occasionally back-to-back weekends – flexibility is key
No call

Requirements:

• ME License
• 2 years of Med/Tele experience
• Telemetry experience
• Basic EKG certification (ability to read/interpret cardiac rhythm strips)
• Skills required: Vascular surgical patients comprise a large portion of our patient population.  This person would need to have the basic knowledge of what to look at and for (assessment-wise) with this type of patient.Ortho post-op (total joints, ORIF) experience is preferred, peripheral IV starts, tube feedings, TPN, Trach Care, Chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, drain management and removal (JP, Accordian), dressing changes, wound vacs. Comfortability to discontinue non-tunneled catheters, will wean patients off Epidural pump per order set, PCAs
• Heparin Drips, Insulin Drips; NO cardiac drips or cardiac push meds
• BLS
• General post-surgical experience is a must

• Charting System: Cerner
• Any other unit to care for patients within or below scope of practice
• Not taking 1st time travelers at this time
• Patient Ratios: Days 1:4-5
• Beds: (48) on Merritt 3; (10) Haskell 3
