Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PCU A2N 48’s

Shift: Days/ 7a-7:30p, 12×4, 48hrs per week, will accept 36’s

Length: 13 weeks

Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract

Requirements: 
  • IN license
  • 2 years’ experience
  • Need strong Cardiac/Post-op heart experience
  • Skillset : Level 1 or Level II Trauma Experience, Telemetry, IV Start, and Cardiac Drips – Titrate
  • First Time Travelers Accepted
  • BLS
  • ACLS
Other Details:
  • Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Not Required
  • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.

*Unit can’t support any holiday RTO

Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of their assigned IU Health facility

First Time Travelers Accepted

Shift Requirements: 4×12 or 3×12

*** Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need

*** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.

Certification Requirements: ACLS and BCLS

Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Year Experience, Level 1 or Level II Trauma Experience, Telemetry, IV Start, and Cardiac Drips – Titrate

Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals

Staffing Ratios: 1:3-5 Based on Acuity

Unit Information: Post Cardiac Surgery, Post Vascular Surgery – NEEDS STRONG CARDIAC/Post-op heart experience
