Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PICU – Level 3
 
Shift: Straight Nights or Rotating D/N, 12×3, 36 hrs/week
Length: 13 weeks

Straight night or rotating 50/50 days/nights scheduling options available no straight day positions available.

Weekend Requirement: Every other Saturday and Sunday, day or night.
 
Requirements: 
  • CO license
  • 2+ years’ experience as a staff RN in a comparable PICU
  • 1 year of travel experience in teaching facility PICUs (or increased staff experience in lieu of travel experience)
  • Experience caring for patients from birth to 21 years with various diagnoses, including respiratory conditions requiring multiple therapies (nasal cannula, Trilogy BiPAP/CPAP, all ventilator modalities)
  • Experience with chronic childhood diseases, sepsis, TBI, DKA, seizure disorders, oncology diagnoses, metabolic disorders, NAT
  • Experience with surgical patients including neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, colorectal, and general surgery
  • BSN 
  • BLS, PALS
  • ACLS preferred
Others:
  • Will consider hiring a new traveler
  • Familiarity with equipment such as Trilogy & Drager ventilators, Cerelink ICP monitors, Medfusion syringe pumps, and Baxter large volume IV pumps
  • Float Requirement: As needed
  • Eligible to float to all inpatient care areas, including critical and acute care units (not to ED, OR, or inpatient Psych)
  • Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Policy: Medical and religious exemption requests are allowed for the 2024-2025 season
  • 50 Mile Rules Radius
