Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Operating Room

Shift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a, 12×3, 35hrs per week, Friday-Sunday

Length: 13 weeks

Shifts will be rotating depending on the needs of the department.
No call required; Traveler will be placed on a team that will cover a Holiday if applicable during contract

Requirements:

  • NC License
  • 2 Years Operating Room recent OR Experience
  • Traveler Experience
  • Must be able to Scrub & Circulate. Neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular or robotics
  • BLS
  • Charting Experience Required – Epic

Other Details:

  • Float Requirement: YES, within facility

  • UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR, Staff Meetings, Communication Board
REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Charge experience required.
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years Experience (2 Years Operating Room recent OR Experience – do not screen applicants that have been out of the acute OR setting > 6 mo. Will not consider applicants that have been in management roles most recently)
Traveler Experience: Required. (okay to SCREEN if no prior travel experience)
Locals Accepted: Yes
Skills: **MUST BE ABLE TO SCRUB & CIRCULATE. Neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular or robotics.
Certs: BCLS

JOB DETAILS:
RATIOS: 45 cases, 17 Rooms.
SHIFT: 36 HOURS ONLY. Friday-Sunday. Shifts will be rotating depending on the needs of the department.
Call Requirement: No call required; Traveler will be placed on a team that will cover a Holiday if applicable during contract.
Float Requirement: YES, within facility 

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: candidates need to have strong experience in at least 2 of these four specialties

• neuro spine,
• ortho spine,
• vascular or
• robotics

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:
**Specialties in order of priority. Must have 2-3 of the top four:
1st – Neuro and Neuro Spine
2nd – Ortho/Ortho Spine. (90% of our total joints have gone to Clemmons and we rarely do scopes, cuffs, ect)
3rd – Vascular
4th – Robotics
5th – Urology
6th – Podiatry
7th – Oncology GYN
8th – Misc. (we do a small amount of regular General, ENT, Plastics)

UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR, Staff Meetings, Communication Board

SCHEDULING TYPE: Unit schedules. This is a specific shift (Thurs, Sat, Sun schedule.)

UNIT ORIENTATION: 36 Hours minimum of three days orientation not including Epic training

SCRUBS: Provided, Ceil Blue
